How to Remove Stains from Linen?
Compared to cotton, linen is a heavier and stronger material, making it a common choice for bedding, tablecloths, and napkins. Because of this, your linen items can go through a lot – from protecting your table at big family dinners to keeping you warm at night. Vanish can help you keep your linen stain-free so you can love it for longer.

Even though linen is a super absorbent material, we recommend a three-step process with either the Vanish Oxi Action Multi Power Powder or Vanish Oxi Action Multi Power Gel. The powerful Oxi Action formula banishes stains, brightens colours and removes odours in just one wash. Plus, when you wash your clothes with Vanish, the deep hygiene action* gives your linens a deep clean. All you have to do is either pre-treat, soak or use in-wash to get the optimum results.

Powder:

  1. Mix 10g of powder with equal amount of water, stir for 30 seconds.

  2. Apply the mix on the stain.

  3. Rub stain as needed

Clean and dry the scoop before placing back into the tub.
After pre-treatment, wash as usual.
Gel:

  1. Pour 2ml of Vanish gel directly onto the stain and gently rub.

  2. Leave the product in contact with the stain for 10 mins max

Are stains on your tablecloth sticking around? Give them a soak in either the powder or gel before washing. Simply add 1 scoop of powder, or 100ml of gel, into 4L of warm or cold water (max 40°), and then leave it to soak for 1 hour (max) for colours and 6 hours (max) for whites. After, just wash as usual with an extra dose of Vanish in the washing machine.

Wrinkles galore: Linen is well known for its ability to wrinkle and crease, so to keep your items looking great, take an iron to them to smooth out any imperfections. Hanging them up in a wardrobe and folding them will also stop them from creasing.
